While performing such exercises, children learn to hold a pen or pencil correctly and trace a drawing consisting of straight, broken or wavy lines along the contour. Be sure to remind your child that you need to trace with a solid line, without lifting the pen from the paper, move it in one direction, and most importantly, make sure that the child does not turn the picture over or move around it while completing the task.
